Our Certifications

All products are certified under Beit Yosef standards with established kosher oversight across our supply chain.

KCL Certification

Kehillos Chareidim of Lakewood & Central Jersey

Grassfed Glatt operates under the certification of the Kehillos Chareidim of Lakewood & Central Jersey (KCL), a recognized local hashgacha overseeing approved supply sources and maintaining ongoing kashrus standards for all products entering our system.

What Does Glatt Kosher Mean?

The term "Glatt" refers to the smoothness of the animal's lungs. Under kosher law, the lungs of a slaughtered animal must be free of adhesions or lesions. "Glatt" — meaning smooth in Yiddish — signifies that the lungs were found to be completely free of any defects, representing the highest standard of kosher meat.

Beit Yosef Standard

All meats are certified under the Beit Yosef standard, followed by many Sephardic communities and others who are makpid on a higher level of kashrus. This certification reflects a stricter standard of bedika and halachic supervision, requiring a higher level of inspection before approval.

Our Standard

Our selection is built around consistently sourced, properly certified kosher meat under Beit Yosef supervision and KCL oversight. We focus on maintaining reliable standards, steady availability, and products that meet the expectations of the communities we serve.
